¿El punk mató al rock progresivo? – Rock Progresivo Bajo la Lupa 10

En nuestro mundo circulan gran cantidad de afirmaciones, ideas y creencias que no tienen sustento alguno que las respalde. Sobre el rock progresivo, se han propagado muchas ideas sin fundamento, pero analizaré sólo una: la afirmación de que el rock punk acabó con el rock progresivo.

Grupos de rock progresivo que tuvieron «singles» en los «charts» de 1977 y 78.

Jethro Tull llega al número 28 con “Ring Oit, Solstice Bells”.

ELP con “Fanfare for the Common Man” llega al número 2 en las listas del Reino Unido.

Yes llegó al número siete de las listas con“Wondrous Stories”.

“Follow You, Follow Me” de Génesis entró en el top ten británico y fue un hit en todo el mundo.

Renaissance también entró al Top Ten con “Northern Lights”.
